Japanese events in London: 5th October - 11th October 2009

The Japan Society has a new great website - it really is a lot more functional: check it out!

In a recent blog post, we mentioned the Japan Matsuri 2009 at Spitalfield market. The event this year surpassed all expectations. The anticipated maximum number of festival-goers was meant to be 15,000, but twice this number turned up!

There is not a huge amount of Japanese events going on in London this week, so we thought to take the opportunity to give you some advance warning on the 2009 Sushi Awards that will be taking place on Saturday the 14th November 2009.

We teach our students Japanese language and culture in London and one of our key guest talks is with sushi, so we are particularly interested in learning as much as possible about this event. The "Eat-Japan Sushi Awards" this year have teamed up with "Masterchef Live" a BBC Good Food Production to bring an event packed full of big names and even bigger flavours - this is a must for all food lovers. We thought to warn you since tickets will be hard to get as time goes on - so get yours now!

This exclusive event will be held on Saturday 14th November 2009 at the Masterchef Live a BBC Good Food Production, Olympia.

Our Japanese language course in London combines language with the culture, and we place considerable emphasis on the sushi and Japanese food class, especially because it really is such a key aspect of Japanese culture in the United Kingdom.

Please follow this link to read more about our Japanese food class.

The final item we would like to bring to your attention is our site map - built so that you now have instant and fast access to every page on this website!
